Mindy has been associated with VOICE for over twenty-five years, first joining the organisation as a volunteer in 1996 and witnessing first-hand its extraordinary evolution and impact. From modest beginnings with one coordinator, one volunteer, and a small number of priority issues, VOICE grew into a leading force in environmental advocacy, most notably as the organisation behind Ireland’s plastic bag levy; now recognised globally as a landmark piece of environmental legislation. Mindy served as CEO of VOICE from 2013 until her departure in 2023, providing strategic leadership during a period of significant growth and influence. Since leaving VOICE, she has taken on the role of President of Zero Waste Europe, a position she continues to hold today. We are delighted that Mindy has returned to VOICE as a volunteer Board member, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in environmental law, public engagement and mobilisation, as well as invaluable institutional knowledge that will greatly benefit our environmental charity.
