VOICE Governance
VOICE Ireland is governed by a Board of Directors and by the terms of the organisation’s Memorandum and Articles of Association. The current Board comprises 7 Directors and meets 6 times a year.
VOICE Ireland is a non-profit company limited by guarantee (CRO: 275127). Our registered charity number is 20040437 and charity number (CHY: 13196).
For the current Strategic Plan period (2022-2027), VOICE has adopted the following 5 key priorities:
1 - PROJECTS AND ENGAGEMENT
We will continue to build on VOICE’s national projects, including our work with communities and various campaigns, such as Sick of Plastic, We Choose Reuse, Picker Pals and Return for Change, with a view to developing multiannual projects and funding to best drive behaviour change.
2 - POLICY WORK
VOICE will continue to lead on and advocate for ambitious policy in the area of circular economy and waste reduction. VOICE will continue to be a thought leader in this space, anticipating upcoming challenges and legislation, and advocating for ambitious policy, implementation and action on matters of resource use.
3 - COMMUNICATIONS
Our communication plan will help us to tailor our message towards specific audiences and will help us to sync those messages, so we do not confuse our audience. This plan will help
us to determine which outreach and marketing materials and mediums are best used to communicate with our selected audiences/groups.
4 - FUNDING AND SERVICES
VOICE will work to diversify its funding sources to ensure the long term and ongoing viability of the NGO.
5 - GOVERNANCE
Continue to build VOICE’s capacity and support our greatest assets—our people! This includes its legal obligations under the Charities Code.As new duties and responsibilities fall to the Organisation under the amendments to the Charities Amendment bill, VOICE will continue to be fully compliant in areas of accounting, staff, and data management.
The Board agree the strategic direction of the organisation and the CEO/VOICE team deliver it. You can read more about the VOICE Ireland staff and our current Board on the website and download our Strategic Plan also from the Website.
There are two sub-Committees of the Board, namely the PICKER PALS Sub Committee and the VOICE Governance Committee.
VOICE Funding
VOICE is funded through a combination of formal Public/Private funding agreements. VOICE also receives regular contributions from its Membership base and unsolicited Donations from Corporates and individuals.
