In it VOICE highlighted that waste and resource consumption are the major drivers of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. While there has been progress to date on emissions reduction in Ireland, the next plan will need to embed a circular economy focused on environment, community and health across government policy and action, supported by strong leadership from all departments in order to achieve the targets and emissions reductions needed.
