In the interests of energy security and global equity, Ireland needs to cut our use of pricey foreign oil as fast as possible and invest instead in renewable energy.The Government has committed to passing a climate law in the Programme for Government and Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan has told the Dáil that he would publish climate legislation in 2012.
